Glowing tributes were paid by the Congress leaders and workers to prominent statehood activist Indramani Baluni on his birth anniversary on Saturday. A programme was organised at Rajiv Bhawan on the day in which leaders offered floral tributes to the picture of the later leader. The spokesperson of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Garima Dasauni said that Badoni played an important role in the statehood movement. She said that he had only one dream and that was creation of a separate State of Uttarakhand. Dasauni said that the people of Uttarakhand would always remember the sacrifice and effort put in by the late leader. She said that any movement needs strong leadership and under the guidance and leadership of Badoni a separate state of Uttarakhand was created. Seeshpal Singh Bisht, Hema Purohit, Shankar Chand Ramola and others were present on the occasion.
