Rain & snowfall forecast in five districts today

Even as the plains are witnessing warmer and sunny days, rainy weather is expected to continue in parts of five districts of the State on Sunday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places especially in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts on Sunday.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in parts of the State on Saturday were 32.9 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.5 degree Celsius and 11.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.4 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.8 degrees Celsius and 11.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
