The Additional Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Uttarakhand, VK Jogdande has said that the process of delivering voter slips to all the voters of the State is underway. He said that on the orders of the Election Commission of India (ECI), 83.35 lakh voter slips have been provided to the Booth Level Officers (BLO) for distribution. He said that so far the 60.20 lakh voter slips have reached the voters. The voters get information about their booth number and serial number in the electoral roll through the voter slips. He said that instructions have been given to complete this process by April 14.
The ACEO said that information about booth and serial number can also be obtained by searching on the National Voter Search Portal.
Jogdande said that instructions have been given to complete the distribution of voter slips as well as the remaining EPIC cards in the next two days. “Voter guide is also being provided to every voter family. A target has been set to provide voter guides to 19 .33 Lakh families. So far, voter guides have been provided to 13.54 lakh families,’’ he said.
