Cake mixing ceremony organised at Himalayan School of Vocational Studies

A cake mixing ceremony was organised at the Himalayan School of Vocational Studies & Skill Development on December 20, 2021. The ceremony also involved traditional Uttarakhandi Pahadi cuisine lunch. The ceremony is an age-old tradition from which Christmas fruit cakes are baked. The students showcased their skills in front of all the present dignitaries by preparing local Uttarakhandi traditional food which included toor dal, phannu, mandawe ki roti, hari bhuji, jhangora ki kheer . The food was appreciated and was liked by one and all present during this event.
The ceremony was attended by vice-chancellors Vijay Dhasmana and Renu Dhasmana, pro-vice-chancellor Vijendra Chauhan, registrar Susheela Sharma, head of the different departments of Swami Rama Himalayan University(SRHU), Mukesh Bijlwan, and others. The preparation for the cuisine was done by fresher students of Bachelor of Vocational Degree(B. Voc) of hotel management department. The menu on traditional cuisines was launched collaboratively by the assistant vice president of Learnet Skills, Vijay Dhasmana and Ramesh Petwal.
