Would dedicate 35 PSA oxygen plants across the country from Rishikesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be on a short visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday. He would visit the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh on the day where he would dedicate 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants to the nation.

These plants have been established under PM CARES, across 35 States and Union Territories. With this, all districts of the country will now have commissioned PSA Oxygen Plants. The PM will also address the gathering on the occasion.

A total of 1,224 PSA Oxygen Plants have been funded under PM CARES all across the country till now, out of which more than 1,100 plants have been commissioned, providing an output of over 1,750 MT oxygen per day. It is a testimony of the proactive measures taken by the Government to augment India’s medical oxygen generation capacity since the advent of Covid-19 pandemic. 

The governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmit Singh, the union health minister Mansukh Mandavia and the chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami would also attend the PM’s programme.

The PM would leave for Delhi at 12.00 PM after the end of the programme at AIIMS Rishikesh.
