Congress expels four rebels from  party

After having failed to persuade them to withdraw from the contest in favour of the official candidates of the party, the Congress party cracked whip on Tuesday as it expelled four leaders from the party. The general secretary organisation, Mathura Dutt Joshi said that the former Block Pramukh Sanjay Negi, Sandhya Dalakoti, Matbar Singh Kandari and head of OBC wing of Congress Sanjay Dobhal have been expelled from the primary membership of the party for a period of six years.  Sanjay Negi is contesting from Ramnagar while Dalakoti, Kandari and Dobhal are in fray from Lalkuan, Rudraprayag and Yamunotri assembly constituencies respectively. Joshi said that the Congress is a disciplined organisation and indiscipline would not be tolerated. The party leadership has also directed all district presidents to take action against those indulging in anti party activities.
