CM launches PWD’s patch reporting application

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the patch reporting app at the state secretariat on Thursday. The objective of the application is to make the roads of the State free from potholes.

 Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the app would help in making the roads of the State free from potholes. He directed the officers of the Public Works Department (PWD) to fill the potholes reported by the complainants through the app within a week. The CM said that the responsibility of the officers will be fixed for this purpose.  He said that the senior officers of PWD should regularly monitor the process of making the roads free from potholes.

 The user of the app can now submit a complaint of the potholes on the road by clicking and uploading the picture of the pothole along with its location and other details. The action taken on the complaint will be sent by the PWD to the complainant concerned along with the picture of the repaired pothole.

The PWD officials informed that the app has been developed by the department and it will automatically mention the position (latitude and longitude) of the place when the picture of the pothole is uploaded. The objective of launching the app is to make the roads free from potholes and set up communication with the general public.

The Public Works minister Satpal Maharaj along with cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal and Dhan Singh Rawat, secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey, additional secretary Vineet Kumar and officers of the PWD were present on the occasion.
