Aim to make U’khand 1st state to vaccinate all residents- CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated development works worth Rs 50.62 crore and unveiled the foundation stones for works amounting to Rs 128.63 crore at the collectorate in Rudrapur on Friday. Later while chairing a review meeting, he directed officials that considering the target of vaccinating all against Covid-19 in the next four months the vaccination should be expedited so that Uttarakhand becomes the first state to fully vaccinate all its residents. He ordered the officials to resolve problems at the level concerned without prolonging it, warning that action will be taken against negligent officials. National highway officials were also directed to speed up execution of various works in Udham Singh Nagar district. Reviewing execution of Jal Jeevan mission, he expressed dissatisfaction at the slow pace of work despite adequate funds. Stating that quarterly review and third party physical verification of the works under the mission will be undertaken, he said that strict action will be taken against negligent officials.

Sugar Cane Development, Sugar Industry minister, in-charge of the district, Yatishwaranand, Social Welfare and Transport minister Yashpal Arya, MLAs HS Cheema, Rajkumar Thukral, Rajesh Shukla, Saurabh Bahuguna, PS Rana, Adesh Singh Chauhan, Kumaon commissioner Sushil Kumar and district magistrate Ranjana Rajguru among others were present in the meeting.
