In latest news from Uttarakhand, the anti-human trafficking cell under the guidance of the Nainital senior superintendent of police Prahlad Narayan Meena conducted raids on some home stays and spa centres based in Haldwani. It is learnt that while on checking drive in the Kathgodam police station limit, the police teams checked register books of two home stays and found irregularities in them. A member of the team informed that when asked to furnish details of the boarders, the home stay authorities failed following which police imposed fines to the tune of Rs 5000 each on two persons identified as Devendra Khatri and Himanshu Bohra under relevant sections of the Police Act.
