Heavy rain warning issued for two districts

The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital and Bageshwar districts on Saturday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense to very intense spells are also likely to occur at isolated places in the mountain districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts and at a few places in the remaining districts of the State today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience light to moderate rain/thundershowers which are likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Friday were 34.2 degrees Celsius and 23.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.5 degrees Celsius and 25.7 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23.4 degrees Celsius and 16.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.8 degrees Celsius and 17.9 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. There was 29 millimetres rain in Mussoorie, 24.5 millimetres in Satpuli, 18 millimetres in Uttarkashi, 15 millimetres in Rudraprayag and 12.5 millimetres in Devprayag.
