The three-day Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament-2025 that commenced at Raj Bhawan Golf Club in Nainital on May 30 concluded. In all, 177 golfers from different states participated. Later, the Governor, who is also the chairman of Raj Bhawan Golf Club, Lt Gen (rtd), Gurmit Singh awarded the winners and runners-up of various categories in the tournament.
Congratulating the winners, Singh said that playing at the Raj Bhawan Golf Course is not just a game but an opportunity to connect with the cultural, natural and hospitality tradition of Uttarakhand. He expressed the confidence that the golf players and their families coming from different parts of the country would take the beauty and hospitality of Uttarakhand with them and this would promote tourism in the State. He further said that the Raj Bhawan Golf Course has recently been opened to the people, especially the school children, to ensure that the youth, in particular, develop interest in golf.
