Arya inaugurates badminton & multipurpose halls in Bhimtal

While inaugurating the badminton hall and multi-purpose hall at Bhimtal in Nainital district, the State Sports minister Rekha Arya said that now the stage is set for national and international level badminton players to emerge from Uttarakhand. “This is another step in our resolve to develop Devbhoomi as Khelbhoomi,” she said and added that the State presently has sports infrastructure assets worth over Rs 1300 crore.   The construction works cost Rs seven crore. Notably, the chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced these sports projects.

Arya further said that
the foundation stone of the State’s first sports university would be laid in Haldwani on the National Sports Day.
