Three-day annual fest begins at Sherwood College

The three-day annual festival of Sherwood College began here on Tuesday with various cultural programmes. IAS officer from Assam and special chief secretary SD Abbasi was the chief guest on the occasion. The school students displayed their skating skills, which was followed by a swimming and diving display.
An exhibition was also organised with models on various subjects including mathematics, geographic, environment and science, among others. An English play was also staged in the school hall on the occasion. Addressing the gathering at the event, the chief guest appreciated the programmes presented by the students. He said that the Sherwood College is fulfilling its responsibility by enabling the students to build a bright future.
The school principal Amandeep Sandhu spoke about the activities and progress made by the school in various spheres, adding that the school will continue to discharge its responsibilities in the future. He also spoke about the various events to be held as part of the three-day annual festival. Faculty members and officials of the school were also present on the occasion.
