20 new Covid cases, 35 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 20 new cases of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Monday. A total of 35 patients were reported cured from the disease on the day.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,799 while a total of 3,30,973 patients have recovered from the disease so far.  The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Monday was 0.12 per cent. The state health department reported 12 new patients from Dehradun, five from Udham Singh Nagar, two from Nainital and one from Champawat on Monday. No new cases were found in the remaining nine districts on the day.

 The state now has 213 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 82 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Nainital 39 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar and Rudraprayag have no active cases of the disease now.  In the ongoing vaccination drive, 51,845 people were vaccinated in 1100 sessions in the state held on Monday.
