Young woman from Khatima mercilessly thrashed for refusing to enter flesh trade, police arrest a woman

In latest Uttarakhand news, Haldwani police arrested a woman after a young woman from Khatima was allegedly beaten up severely for refusing to enter the flesh trade. The police took the action on the basis of the complaint filed by the young woman and a case has been registered under several sections of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act. Police informed that offers of money and expensive mobile phone were made to lure the young woman from Khatima into the flesh trade. The accused woman, identified as Tulsi Rai and a resident of Dahariya, is working in a mall.  The young woman said in her complaint that Tulsi had offered her an amount of Rs 10,000 and a costly mobile phone and when she still refused to comply with the woman’s proposal, she was mercilessly thrashed and coerced into sexual exploitation by a man. Later, she reached the police station and filed a complaint. The accused woman is being interrogated for more information, said Haldwani police.
