Five women rescued, a woman arrested

When the Kathgodam police team was engaged in verification drive of the hotels and spa centres, it received news of sex racket being run in a spa centre. The anti-human trafficking cell reached the centre and rescued five women forcefully engaged in prostitution. Police took into custody the woman who was allegedly running it though the young receptionist who was allegedly an accomplice of the woman fled from the spot on the arrival of police.
During search, police found objectionable items in the rooms of the centre. Thereafter, they found five girls. Through questioning them, police found that two of them were from Delhi and Faridabad while three hail from Kathgodam and Bareilly Road. They told the police that they were being engaged in flesh trade by a woman and a man who are running the centre. While the woman was arrested police were on the lookout for the man.
