Vande Bharat Express train to run between Doon and Lucknow after Holi

The operation of the Vande Bharat Express train between Dehradun and Lucknow will commence on March 26, a day after Holi. The train will run six days a week except on Monday, as per the officials. They informed that the train will be operated at an average speed of 66 kilometres per hour and take around 8 hours and 20 minutes to cover the distance of 550 kilometres between the two cities. The train will depart from Dehradun at 2.45 PM and reach Lucknow at 10.40 PM. It will depart from Lucknow at 5:15 AM and reach Dehradun at 1:35 PM. The train will also stop at Haridwar, Moradabad and Bareilly junction. The officials further informed that the chair car fare from Dehradun to Lucknow will be Rs 1,480, which includes food costing Rs 323. The executive class fare will be Rs 2,715 which includes the food costing Rs 384. The chair car fare from Dehradun to Haridwar 

and Dehradun to Moradabad is Rs 540 including Rs 142 for food and Rs 715 including Rs 101 for food respectively. The executive class fare from Dehradun to Haridwar 

and Dehradun to Moradabad is Rs 955 and  Rs 1,370 respectively. The officials said that there was some technical glitch due to which the train’s operation could not be started earlier. Since the infrastructure to run the train is ready and the Northern Railways has also granted its approval for starting its regular operation, passengers can board the train from March 26, they added.
