After getting elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party the caretaker chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with BJP State president Madan Kaushik and others met the governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General (retd) Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan and staked the party’s claim to form the next government in Uttarakhand. He was accompanied by the union minister of state and party’s central observer Meenakshi Lekhi, union minister of state Ajay Bhatt, former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Protem Speaker of the Assembly, Banshidhar Bhagat, Satpal Maharaj, Prem Chand Agarwal, Rekha Arya and others. The governor accepted the letter and invited Dhami to form the next government. The swearing in ceremony of the CM and his cabinet would be held on Wednesday at Parade Ground.
