U’khand a preferred destination for investors: Agarwal

The finance minister Premchand Agarwal said that due to its natural environment, peace, law and order situation and transportation facilities the investors are showing an interest to invest in Uttarakhand.

He was addressing the district level mini conclave at Ganga resort  (GMVN) Muni Ki Reti on Wednesday. The event was organised as a prelude for the Global Investors summit-2023 proposed in Dehradun.  

The minister said that the State government has created a land bank of 600 acres for industries and has set up a single window system at district and State level to help investors. 

He said that the Tehri district has an immense potential in the tourism sector and the Tehri lake has become a centre of attraction for people. Agarwal said that recently the Tehri Acro festival was successfully organised and the district hosted two meetings of the G-20 summit this year.

 Devprayag MLA Vinod Kandari said that the State government is committed to simplifying the processes for industrial infrastructure.

The district magistrate (DM) Mayur Dixit said that 85 investment proposals worth Rs 1100 crore were received in the mini conclave.
