Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat granted positions to 17 persons in various commissions, corporations, councils and committees on Friday. All of them have been granted State minister status. Ramsurat Nautiyal was made the vice chairman of state level fish farmer development agency, Kailash Pant was made chairman of Uttarakhand state disaster management advisory committee, Pratap Singh Rawat was made vice chairman of Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation, Kamal Jindal made the Uttarakhand forest and environment advisory committee vice chairman, SS Thakur was made state wildlife advisory board vice chairman, MS Mehra was made national rural health advisory and monitoring council chairman and Ashutosh Kimothi was made advisor in herbal research and development institute, Gopeshwar. Among the others Harish Dafoti was made Hariram Tamta traditional crafts upliftment institution chairman, Vimal Kumar was made CM’s cottage industry advisor, Baby Aswal was made chairperson of state women entrepreneurship council, Sushma Rawat was made chairperson of state level women vigilance committee, AK Sood was made state level sports council chairman, Mukesh Kumar was made scheduled caste commission chairman, Subhash Joshi was made chairman of senior citizens welfare council, Dinesh Mehra was made vice chairman of government industrial training institute advisory committee, Anil Goel was made vice chairman of Uttarakhand civil aviation development authority and Premdutt Juyal was made vice chairman of Uttarakhand Krishak Mitra Parishad.
Later, while meeting the position holders in the evening, the CM exhorted them to work for redressal of public grievances and implementation of public welfare schemes. He said that all those who have been granted positions should discharge their responsibilities with complete dedication. Efforts should also be undertaken to raise public awareness on the steps taken for the balanced and integrated development of the state in the past four years. “Our government had promised corruption free governance to the public and we have fulfilled it. We have achieved considerable success during the past four years in checking institutional corruption. The State government is also working with sensitivity to resolve public grievances,” said the CM. Cabinet minister Madan Kaushik and State minister Dhan Singh Rawat were also present on the occasion.
