STF arrests accused of four murders in Laksar from Ghaziabad

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) arrested an absconded accused of four murders from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on late Wednesday night. The accused named Talib alias Tareef (28) is a resident of Kheri Khurd village of Laksar in Haridwar where he had murdered four people along with his accomplices on May 6, 2021 allegedly over a land dispute, as per the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of STF, Ayush Agrawal.

The four murder victims were Zaheer Hassan, Mohammad Kaif, Sahjan Alam and Hussain Ahmed who were also residents of Khedi Khurd. Agrawal said that the accused Talib was on the run since he committed the crime and has been consistently changing his location to escape his arrest. The SSP Haridwar had also announced a bounty of Rs 10,000 for his arrest.  He said that the STF received information that Talib has been living in Dasna near Ghaziabad with a fake identity and a team was immediately dispatched to arrest him on Wednesday. He was found to be operating a bulldozer when the team arrested him in Dasna. He was sent to jail on Wednesday night after completion of required procedure, added the SSP.
