State Cong suggests Agniveer abolition for manifesto

In latest news from Doon, the State Congress has sent a string of suggestions pertaining to the Himalayan State to the high command for incorporation into the party’s national manifesto which will be unveiled soon. Informing this, the State Congress president Karan Mahara said that the suggestions sent include abolition of the Angiveer scheme, geological and other scientific surveys to be mandatorily done before clearance of any tunnel project in the mountainous areas of the State and reintroduction of the old pension scheme for the State government employees, repealing the new pension scheme.  

He said that the Agniveer scheme has done a great injustice to the youngsters of Uttarakhand who dream to be regular members of the Indian Army.
