Under the Prime Minister’s self-reliance scheme, the state ministry of agriculture and farmers’ welfare is going to open sale centres of organic products and juice in the famous tourist places like Nainital and Mussoorie during the char dham yatra. The objective behind this move is to take the local hill products of the state to the people from across the world. As  part of this programme, the state minister of agriculture and farmers’ welfare Ganesh Joshi will inaugurate such a sale centre in Nainital on April 24 and along with it he will inaugurate online 12 such centres across the state. Most of these would be located along the char dham yatra route. In this way, the products prepared by the all-women self-help groups would reach out to the tourists and the pilgrims.

It is learnt that in the coming days, stress will be laid on the development of the state’s traditional artworks so that the people across the country and the world get acquainted with these. The state government believes that such schemes will ensure that the women and the youths get employment. Notably, the sale centre located on Rajpur Road in Dehradun has been running well.
