Sandhu directs officials to expedite work on CM’s announcements for district

Chief secretary Sukhbir Singh Sandhu issued various directions to step up development in Champawat and for execution of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s announcements for the district. He directed officials to prepare a master plan to enhance tourism in the district. The chief secretary issued these directions on Thursday while chairing a meeting to review the progress made in execution of announcements made by the chief minister for Champawat district. He directed the officials of the departments concerned to set a timeline for execution and completion of all the announcements made by the CM.
Regarding the announcements linked to the Public Works Department, Sandhu directed the officials to expedite the execution of phase I and phase II works in order to complete them soon. He directed the divisional forest officer concerned to prepare a detailed project report for making of the Jim Corbett trail. He also directed officials to prepare a master plan to bring Champawat on the tourism map. A consultant should be appointed for this purpose, he said. Sandhu stressed that the flood protection works to check the land erosion due to the Sharada river should be expedited and completed soon. Officials were also directed to prepare a concrete work plan for development of Purnagiri and Devidhura temples along with the Goljyu corridor. Sandhu also directed the soldier welfare department to construct a soldier memorial at Banbasa soon. Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretaries Dilip Jawalkar, Arvind Singh Hyanki and Ravinath Raman along with departmental officials were also present in the meeting.
