The traffic on various routes in the city will remain diverted in Dehradun today due to the proposed procession of Shri BalajiMaharaj during the daytime on Saturday. The police informed that on departure of the procession from ShivajiDharamshala, the traffic moving from NiranjanpurMandi, Lalpul and MatawalaBagh to Saharanpur Chowk will be either stopped or diverted as per the situation.

Traffic arriving from Balliwala to Saharanpur Chowk will also be diverted to Ballupur but all traffic movement will be back to normal as soon as the procession enters Jhanda Bazaar. During the movement of the procession on Chakrata Road, traffic will be operated along with the procession. In case of more traffic, vehicles will be diverted from Clock Tower to Dilaram to Cantt Road, as per the police.

Traffic movement will return to normal in the route once the procession enters Tilak Road. When the procession arrives at Darshani Gate, traffic movement from Saharanpur Chowk to Prince Chowk will be stopped on regular intervals. When the procession will move from GauGhat towards ShivajiDharamshala, the traffic will be operated along with it. Traffic movement on all locations will be normalised once the procession enters ShivajiDharamshala, as per the police. They appealed to the locals to use alternate routes as much as possible to avoid traffic issues during the procession on Saturday.
