ADM issues order to stay alert in view of heavy rainfall forecast

In view of the alert by the meteorological centre from June 23 to 27, the additional district magistrate (finance and revenue) of Dehradun Ramji Sharan Sharma issued orders to all departments concerned to clean all the water bodies to avoid water logging. He issued this order on Friday regarding the thunderstorm and heavy rain forecast at isolated places in Dehradun.

 He also directed all the officials to maintain coordination to prevent difficulties for the public during heavy rainfall. Sharma further ordered the officials to take action immediately in case of any disaster or accident in the city. Apart from this he instructed all the officials associated with Incident Response System (IRS) to be on alert mode and directed the departments concerned to act immediately on the complaints or information received from across the district.

Sharma further directed the officials to clear all blocked routes under the national highway, Public Works Department and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) during the rain. Sharma ordered revenue sub-inspectors, village development officers and Gram Panchayat officers to remain deployed in their respective areas. Further, he directed the chief medical officer to provide the required medical help and food to the people affected by heavy rains. He said that all the officials concerned should inform about disaster related issues to the district disaster operation centre on 0135-2726066, 2626066, 7534826066 and toll-free number 1077.
