Many visit Global Investors Summit exhibition area

On CM’s instructions exhibition area to be kept open for public on Monday too

A large number of people on Sunday visited the exhibition area of the Global Investors Summit which concluded at the Forest Research Institute here on Saturday. The exhibition area has been kept open for the general public. On the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the exhibition area will be kept open to the public on Monday too.

A number of school children and members of the general public visited the exhibition area on Sunday and visited various stalls put up at the site. The visitors got to know about the State’s developmental journey of about two decades by visiting these stalls. The stalls have various exhibits like the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, aroma park, plastic park, food park, wellness park, Tehri dam and various hydro electric power projects set up in different parts of the State.

It will be recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the two-day Global Investors Summit here on Friday while Union Home minister Amit Shah had addressed the gathering in the valedictory function of the summit on Saturday. Memoranda of understanding for investments amounting to about Rs 3,50,000 crore were signed during the two-day summit. The summit saw participation of a number of industrialists and representatives of enterprises working in various sectors in India and abroad.
