Manav Utthan Seva Samiti provides insurance amount for Char Dham pilgrims

The Manav Utthan Seva Samiti (MUSS) handed over a cheque for facilitating insurance of 1,000 pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday. The MUSS is facilitating accident insurance amounting to a total of Rs 10 crore for 1,000 people undertaking the Char Dham Yatra. The cheque was handed over to the CM at a programme of the MUSS held at the Rishikul college ground in Haridwar.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhami announced that a boundary wall will be built around the ground. He also appreciated the social work being done by the organisation.

Addressing the gathering, Dhami said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership India got the opportunity for presidency of G20. He said that these days G20 events are being held in different corners of the nation so that the citizens of India can also participate in this initiative. He said that the schemes of the government are focused on the principle of Antyodaya.

Serious effort is being made at every level to ensure that the benefits of the government schemes reach the last eligible person in society. Work is being done to unite the nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari under PM Modi’s leadership, he opined.

The CM further said that Uttarakhand is developing at a swift pace under Modi’s leadership. The State government has completed preparations for the Char Dham Yatra slated to start this month. Apart from the various works done by the State government during the past one year, it is also working on other important tasks like implementation of the uniform civil code, said Dhami. He said that the State government has taken cognisance of illegal constructions in various parts of the State. 

Stating that encroachments will not be tolerated on government land, he said that illegal constructions will be removed wherever they are found. The interest of the public is supreme for the State government, he stressed.

Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj, former minister Yatishwaranand, Haridwar district magistrate Vinay Shankar Pandey, senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
