In latest news from Doon, soon after hiking the honorarium of the UPNL employees by 10 per cent, the State government announced that the UPNL employees who were sacked by various departments for no serious reason like indiscipline, incompetence and indecent behaviour would be reinstated within one month on the receipt of their fresh applications. Notably, there are about 25,000 UPNL employees in the State and they were recently on strike, demanding honorarium hike among others. Informing this, the secretary soldier welfare Deependra Kumar Chaudhari said that the departments’ heads would take the final call on the sacked UPNL employees’ reinstatement.
