Implement ideas evolved during Mussoorie conclave: CM to IAS officers

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the bureaucracy to implement the suggestions which came up during the brainstorming at  the ‘Chintan Shivir’ of Mussoorie. He said that all of the officers of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) should work with their full administrative capability to make Uttarakhand one of the leading states of the country till the year 2025. The CM was addressing the Administrative Officers Conference at the State secretariat on Friday. He said that the officers should move forward with the mantra of simplification, solution and disposal for the wholesome development of the State and fast disposal of public grievances.

Stressing on making the file system online, Dhami said that special focus should be made on simplification of the processes. On a stern note the CM said that file should not be withheld unnecessarily and responsibility in this regard should be fixed. CM said that the meetings of Tehsil Diwas and BDC Diwas should be held regularly and added that Village Chaupals would be organised on the Sushasan Diwas and all IAS officers should participate in these Chaupals. He said two groups of G20 would visit Uttarakhand during the G20 summit being hosted by India in the year 2023.

 Chief Secretary SS Sandhu said that the objective of the IAS week is to know one another and the bonding developed during the period helps in increasing the efficiency. He stressed on developing sensitivity which helps in understanding the public grievance in a better way. Sandhu exhorted the officers to remain positive and said that it is good for their service life and personal life. The CS added that rules have been made for making any work easy. Sandhu said that the officers should remain positive and he is always there to help them out.  He said that the State has a vast potential in the floriculture, horticulture and vegetable production which can provide employment to thousands of people. Sandhu said that the demand for poly-houses is very high in the State.

He said that the IAS officers at the start of their careers have a dream to do something. “You should not allow that dream to die. It is the beginning and not the end,’’ he said. The additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretaries R K Sudhanshu, L Fennai, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagauli and other IAS officers were present on the occasion.
