The Uttarakhand State Task Force (STF) on Tuesday said it had no prior information about the leak of the Lekhpal-Patwari exam paper before the scheduled date of examinations, January 8. The STF released this statement on Tuesday evening after several social media platforms and media outlets claimed that STF had allegedly received the information of Lekhpal-Patwari exam paper leak just a day before the exam and even informed the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) about it but no necessary action was taken to postpone it. However, the Superintendent of Police of STF, Chandra Mohan Singh has called all these stories baseless rumour. He said that STF neither had any prior knowledge about the leak nor did it inform UKPSC about any possible leak. He said that all such rumours are misleading and baseless and people should refrain from spreading them as it creates misunderstanding among the public.
