Govt brutality reminiscent of Statehood movement: AAP

 In protest against what they termed atrocities done by the police on the agitating unemployed, the leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) burned the effigy of the State government in Dharampur on Friday. The protesters were led by the State coordinator of the AAP Jot Singh Bisht.

 Speaking on the occasion, Bisht said that the barbaric behaviour of the police and atrocities on the unemployed reminds one of the similar brutalities during the Statehood movement. He said that the State government is working in a dictatorial manner and it is ready to cross every limit to crush the voice of dissent. Bisht said that the youngsters would never forgive the Dhami government for the use of brutal force on them. The Vice President RP Raturi said that the State government and administration are doing great injustice with the youth which would not be tolerated. The State vice president of the party Uma Sisodia said that the AAP is standing shoulder to shoulder with the youth and said that the State government is anti government.

The media in charge of Garhwal, Ravindra Singh Anand said that contrary to the claim Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is actually a weak leader who has hit the youngsters. Large number of party leaders and workers were present on the occasion.
