Fate of 55 candidates in 5 LS constituencies sealed in EVMs

 With the end of voting, the fate of 55 candidates in the fray in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Uttarakhand was sealed in the EVMs on Friday. The counting of the votes will be held on June 4 and till then the EVMs will be kept under strict vigil in the counting centres. In Tehri LS constituency 11 candidates are in the fray. However there is a direct battle between Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah of BJP and Jot Singh Gunsola of Congress in the constituency. Independent candidate Bobby Panwar tried to make the contest three cornered in Tehri.

In Garhwal LS constituency the national media in charge of BJP Anil Baluni is locked in an interesting battle with Ganesh Godiyal of Congress party. In Haridwar LS constituency, BJP has fielded former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat while Virendra Singh Rawat who is son of former CM Harish Rawat is contesting on Congress party ticket.  In Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar constituency, the Union minister of State Ajay Bhatt is seeking election for the second consecutive term. He is challenged by Prakash Joshi of Congress party. In Almora Ajay Tamta of BJP and Pradeep Tamta of Congress party are in the fray.
