In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in association with the local police nabbed a drug smuggler allegedly working for an international drug racket from a place within Munsyari police station limits in Pithoragarh district and seized from him 1 kg 616 gm cannabis worth around Rs eight lakh at the international markets. The accused has been identified as Uttam Singh (40), resident of Sain Polu village in Munsyari block. An ANTF team member associated with the arrest informed that the accused had admitted during interrogation that he had been supplying cannabis in Uttarakhand for a long time. According to ANTF sources, the accused allegedly grow hemp plants in his village and supply cannabis in the plain areas of the State.
