In view of the coming 11th National Election Day, the Dehradun DM and district election officer Ashish Kumar Srivastava directed the officials concerned to organise the Election Day event physically or virtually on the occasion as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI). Srivastava also directed the electoral registration officers (EROs) and assistant electoral registration officers (AEROs) to administer the pledge of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) on January 25 in the polling booths of their respective areas in the district as per the directives of ECI. If the administration will find any irregularities during the event or any BLO fails to appear in the event, action will be taken against such officials under section 32 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
