On the birth anniversary of social reformer and Arya Samaj founder Dayanand Saraswati, Yoga guru Ramdev reiterated his commitment to work for developing the nation as envisioned by the seer. He said, “Remembering him on his birth anniversary, we all will work towards making India as he had envisioned.
Let us take a resolve to work for facilitating education and medical treatment facilities, a sense of social unity and one India-supreme India as envisioned by Maharshi Dayanand.” Ramdev recalled the various great freedom fighters and revolutionaries who were inspired by Dayanand. He said, “About 200 years ago, he undertook the propagation of Hindi as the national language in principle for Swadeshi, Swaraj and the unity and integrity of the nation. He undertook a movement for ensuring Vedic and other education for the women and the downtrodden.
The biggest non-governmental educational movement before independence began with his inspiration through DAV schools and Gurukul Kangri.”
