84 new cases reported in State, active dengue cases now at 302

The Health department reported 84 cases of dengue in the State on Wednesday. The total number of active cases of the vector-borne disease in the State is now 302. According to information provided by the department, the cumulative number of dengue cases in the State this season is 2,486 out of which 2,169 patients have recovered. Similarly a total of 15 deaths have resulted from dengue so far with 13 in Dehradun district and two in Nainital district.

Out of the 84 cases reported on Wednesday, 36 cases are from Pauri district, 14 from Haridwar district, 13 from Nainital district, 12 from Dehradun district, five from Udham Singh Nagar district and four from Tehri district. When it comes to the cumulative number of cases, Dehradun district has remained on top with 927 cases followed by Pauri with 525, Haridwar with 422, Nainital with 390, Udham Singh Nagar with 76, Chamoli with 50, Champawat with 42, Tehri with 21, Rudraprayag with 14, Bageshwar with 10 and Almora with nine. No cases of dengue have been reported so far from Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts.
