Two-day national conference concludes at SGRR University

 The former director general  of the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Rajendra Dobhal said that science and related subjects must be taught in Hindi language also. He opined that concerted efforts are being made by governments and the educational institutions for protecting the existence of the regional languages.

 He was speaking on the concluding day of the two-day national conference on the role of scientific and technical terminology in quality and innovative research education: a perspective to NEP-2020 at SGRR university. The conference was organised jointly by Shri Guru Ram Rai University and Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of Education.

In his address the director general of police Ashok Kumar said that teachers should take a lead role in keeping the young generation free of drugs and intoxications. He said that joint efforts are needed for ending use of drugs and intoxication in the society. 

The co-coordinator, entrepreneurship cell, SGRR university and co-ordinator of the national conference, Pooja Jain provided information on the works carried out by SGRR University to fulfil the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020. She said that the university is making sincere efforts to implement the scientific use of Hindi vocabulary.

 The scientific officer, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Union ministry of Education, Jai Singh Rawat explained in detail about the principle of technical vocabulary formation and pattern of its usage. The former vice chancellor, Kumaon University, Hoshiyar Singh Dhami presented the new planning for the formation of a new vocabulary on an international scale using principles popular world over.
