Cong slams PM Modi for giving priority to campaigning over safety of Indians in Ukraine

Comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Roman King Nero, the media in- charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajiv Mehrishi has said that while Indians are stranded and are in danger in Ukraine, PM Modi is busy campaigning in Uttar Pradesh (UP). He said that the Indian government’s failure is responsible for the unfortunate death of an Indian student in Ukraine. Mehrishi said that it appears that the priority of PM Modi is to campaign in support of BJP candidates in UP and not safe evacuation of stranded Indians in Ukraine. He said that elections are important in democracy but at the same time saving lives of citizens in an event of war is also very important for the governments. Taking a dig at the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand for trying to collect data of students of state living in Ukraine from the districts he said that the whole data is readily available on the site of ministry of external affairs.
