MDDA to plant one lakh saplings during monsoon season

Acting on the cause of Green Doon being espoused by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is all set to plant about one lakh saplings during the monsoon season. Informing this, the vice-chairman MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari said that the saplings of fruit-bearing tress would be planted on the outskirts of the city and in those places where the wild animals stray in. He further said that the MDDA-propelled tree plantation drive would lay stress on the tree species which are becoming extinct.
