CM offers prayers at Kedarnath on 10th anniversary of disaster

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Kedarnath shrine on the tenth anniversary of the Kedarnath disaster on Friday. He offered prayers in the temple and wished for peace and prosperity in the State. The CM also participated in a Hawan in Kedarnath for peace to the souls of those killed in the disaster. The CM was welcomed by the Teerth Purohits and stakeholders on his arrival.

He said that everything was destroyed in the tragedy that struck Kedarnath 10 years ago. Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a true and ardent devotee of Baba Kedar and due to his devotion Kedarnath has now taken a grand and divine form.

 In his visit the CM also offered prayers at the newly constructed temple of lord Ishaneshwar. Dhami inspected the construction activity which is going on from the helipad to the temple premises. He directed the officers concerned to ensure that all the construction works of the second phase in Kedarnath should get completed by the end of the year. The CM interacted with the labourers engaged in construction works and asked about their well being. He directed the officers that special care of labourers should be taken since they are working in difficult conditions.

 The chairman of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Ajendra Ajay, president of district Panchayat Amardei Shah, BJP district president Mahavir Pandwar, secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, superintendent of police Vishaka Ashok Bhadane and others were present on the occasion.
