Kanchan Negi of Uttarakhand participated in the international conference, ‘multidisciplinary approach for sustainable development’ organised by the Dwijendra University, Indonesia on Friday. She was the only speaker from India in the conference.
In her presentation Negi said that inter-cultural communication is important for achieving the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. She said that the inter cultural dialogue lays emphasis on sharing the ideas and differences by understanding different outlooks and traditions.
As per the UNESCO intercultural dialogue promotes social harmony and helps in creating a positive environment for sustainable development, she said.
