The contagious novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand is continuing to escalate. On Thursday the state health department reported a staggering 830 new cases of the disease. The state now has 80484 cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of 12 patients of the disease which increased the death toll to 1332.
Two patients of the disease each were reported dead at Kailash hospital Dehradun, Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Military hospital Dehradun on Thursday. One patient each died at Himalayan hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Jaya Maxwell hospital Haridwar, HNB base hospital Srinagar, Sushila Tiwari government hospital and District hospital Bageshwar on Thursday.
The authorities reported 273 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun while 105 and 63 cases were reported from Nainital and Haridwar respectively on the day.
The state now has 5742 active cases of the disease with Dehradun at top of the table with 1878 cases. With 137 active cases Rudraprayag is at bottom of the table.
