Mayor Gaurav Goyal inspected the encroached pond in Ganeshpur, Roorkee on Sunday after receiving complaints about land encroachment and illegal construction. Former councillor Guddu Chaudhary and BJP General Secretary Pradyuman Singh Poswal had lodged a complaint about the said matter. Goyal assured that appropriate action will be taken against the land mafias by Municipal Corporation of Roorkee (MCR). The complainant explained to Goyal about the measurement of the land and how illegal buildings have been constructed by land mafias. He stated that relevant land of municipal corporation cannot be encroached illegally.
