The police found the dead body of a 65-year-old senior citizen who allegedly died after drowning in a river at Kapkot in Bageshwar on Sunday. The police informed that a team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was sent to search for the body after the locals complained of a man drowning in the river on Sunday morning. The team headed by chief constable Hirdesh Parihar immediately left with rescue equipment and was able to find the body after running the search operation for hours. The police informed that the deceased has been identified as a 65-year-old man Gusain Ram who lived in ward number three of Kapkot. The police stated that they have informed the family members of the deceased. According to them, the deceased probably slipped when he went near the river probably to take a bath but nothing can be said for sure but they will investigate the matter.
