277 MOs to be appointed by March-end: D S Rawat

In latest news from Dehradun, in response to a question raised by the lawmakers in the assembly, the State health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the health department is all set to appoint medical officers (MO) for all the posts now lying vacant by end of March. Sharing more details, he said that presently 277 MO posts are lying vacant.  He further said that to meet the shortage of specialist doctors, the State health government has started ‘you quote, we pay’ scheme under which the specialist doctors are being paid up to Rs five lakh per month.

Replying to a question raised by the Congress MLA Mamata Rakesh, Rawat who is also the education minister said that the education department would recruit block resource person and cluster resource person for 955 vacant posts through outsourcing. Besides, the department would recruit 2364 class IV staffers in the government-run schools through outsourcing agencies.
