10 candidates filed nomination in Pauri, 9 in Chamoli

Ten candidates filed their nomination on Tuesday from six Assembly constituencies in Pauri district on Tuesday while two nominations were filed earlier on Monday. So far, a total of 12 candidates have filed their nominations.

On Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dhan Singh Rawat and Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gajendra Chauhan filed their nominations from Srinagar constituency. Uttarakhand Kranti Dal candidate Virendra Singh Rawat and Samajwadi Party candidate Jai Prakash filed nominations from Chaubattakhal. The BJP candidate Dileep Rawat filed his nomination from Lansdowne constituency while Congress candidate Surendra Singh Negi filed his nomination from Kotdwar constituency. BJP candidate Renu Bisht and UKD candidate Shanti Prasad Bhatt filed nomination from Yamkeshwar constituency and BJP candidate Raj Kumar Pori and Akhand Bharat Vikas Party candidate Hari Kumar Shah filed nomination from Pauri constituency. Earlier, on Monday UKD candidate Mohan Kala filed nomination from Srinagar constituency and  UKD (Democratic) candidate Annu Pant filed nomination from Chubattakhal constituency.

In the Chamoli district, BJP candidate Mahendra Prasad Bhatt, Congress candidate Rajendra Bhandari, CPI candidate Vinod Joshi and PPID candidate Pushkarlal Baichwal filed their nominations from Badrinath constituency. CPI-M candidate Kunwar Ram filed his nomination from Tharali constituency. Similarly, four candidates filed their nomination from Karnprayag constituency on Tuesday. These include CPI-ML’s Indresh Maikhuri, PPID’s Sureshi Devi, BJP’s Anil Nautiyal and independent candidate Teeka Prasad Maikhuri.
