The Pauri district police arrested wanted Sansi gang member Mukesh Kumar from Rohtak, Haryana on Sunday. According to the police, Gurugram resident Sharda Rawat had lodged an FIR in Kotdwar on April 27 stating that a man had stolen gold ornaments from her bag.
The accused was periodically changing his location to evade arrest. Based on surveillance and tips from informers, the police arrested Kumar from Rohtak.The arrested accused told the police that along with his accomplices Akash and Rajendra he had stolen the gold ornaments from the bag of one woman in Kotdwar bus station on April 24. Akash and Rajendra were arrested earlier by the police.
