Focus on Covid free Kumbh: Chaubey

The union minister of state for health Ashwini Kumar Chaubey has said that the focus should be made on protection from Covid-19 considering the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. He was talking to the media persons after inaugurating the newly built Haemodialysis unit and advanced urology centre at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)  Rishikesh on Thursday.

The union minister said that the Uttarakhand government is taking measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Kumbh. He said that the people are getting infected with Covid-19 twice and three times and in such a situation the mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Dawai Bhi and Kadai Bhi’ should be strictly adhered to. He said that people should adopt the Covid appropriate behaviour to combat the disease.

Appreciating the facilities at the AIIMS Rishikesh, he said that the institute is located on the banks of the Ganga and is beneficial for the general patients in terms of environment and health. He added that the state of the art machines at the Advanced Urology Centre will prove to be convenient and beneficial in the treatment patients.

The director of AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr Ravikant said that with the establishment of the Haemodialysis and Advanced Urology Centre, the poorest of the poor patients will also get better technology based and appropriate treatment.
