BJP releases vision document, attempts to address wide ranging issues

Union minister Nitin Gadkari released the Bharatiya Janata Party’s vision document 2022 here on Wednesday. The BJP has basically promised to further enhance the developmental works it has already initiated in the state while also assuring action on pertinent issues like demographic changes. The party has attempted to focus on different sections of society and meet their expectations with its manifesto which is based on suggestions received from 78,000 people from across the state.

The BJP manifesto promises to bring about a strict law to tackle demographic changes being facilitated by encroachments. An empowered committee will be formed for probing the related issues and finding the solution for the same. The party will provide all necessary help to ex-servicemen and youth to settle in districts along the international border considering national interest under the Him Prahari Yojana. To provide loans to ex-servicemen, the BJP government will set up general Bipin Singh Rawat ex-servicemen credit guarantee fund trust to provide upto 50 per cent guaranteed cover for upto Rs five lakh loan. The party has promised to further extend the Char Dham project with Mokshda Teerth Yatra Yojana to provide upto Rs 10,000 subsidy to senior citizens. Haridwar will be developed into the international Yoga capital with Rs one crore allocation for Ved Pathshalas here. The police will be modernised to further improve the law and order situation while establishment of medical college in each district, mobile clinics and establishment of dialysis centers will be facilitated to enhance health services. Farmers will be provided Rs 8,000 assistance while Kisan Mandis will be opened in every block. Addressing a contention issue, the BJP has promised to take concrete action to prevent ‘Love Jihad’ and also double the number of women police stations. To tackle the issue of unemployment, self employment for youth will be facilitated through skill development. The concent of smart village will be executed effectively. The BJP government will also develop 45 new tourism destinations in the state. The head of BPL family will be provided Rs 3,000.

Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari said that no attention was paid to the Ganga river and its condition before the BJP government assumed charge. The BJP government took concrete steps under Namami Gange to make the river free flowing and clean. Gadkari also spoke about the infrastructural developments achieved in Uttarakhand, especially the work done for expanding the road network across the state. Apart from informing about the work done and current status of the roadworks, Gadkari also said that the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage will soon be undertaken by road in Uttarakhand.
Union minister Pralhad Joshi, BJP state president Madan Kaushik, former CMs Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Trivendra Singh Rawat and Tirath Singh Rawat were also present on the occasion.
